AIM - GEN 3.4.1(1) - Protection of Occurrence Sites
Protection of Occurrence Sites, Aircraft, Components and Documentation
(1) No person shall displace, move or interfere with an aircraft involved in an
accident,
or the components or contents of any such aircraft, or interfere with or
otherwise
disrupt an occurrence site without first having obtained permission to do so
from
an investigator except to extricate any person, to prevent destruction by fire
or
other cause, or to avoid danger to any person or property.
(2) Where an aircraft is to be displaced or moved pursuant to subsection (1),
the
person directing or otherwise supervising or arranging the action shall, as far
as
possible in the circumstances and prior to the moving of the aircraft or any
component or contents thereof or disturbance of the site, record by the best
means
available the condition of the aircraft, aircraft contents and the occurrence
site.
